Sticky notes in the break room and other areas where people as they walk by could write something down and put it up.
And what they put, the kind of the directions there, they said, please tell us or indicate, you know, what are the biggest issues that we have.
And so they collected all those stickies and they ultimately developed this compact.
Yeah.
And they use this compact probably, I mean, every day, I don't think is an understatement.
One very cool
thing they said is they share it in their interviews.
So when they're interviewing a new candidate or a new person that's coming in again, doesn't matter what the role is, they have a printed copy of that compact and they work through it with that candidate.
And they say that we in our emergency department here at Methodist, we treat each other with respect.
And we expect that if you're going to become a part of the team, that you're going to treat everybody with respect and you're going to follow this compact.
And then to take it a step further, they incorporate it into orientation.
They review it with the new hires.
It's a really great tool.
And I think, kind of on the next step with that, if they see any behaviors that they have to call out, they pull out that compact.
It is a document that does not collect dust.
It's not something like they created one time and it's sitting on a shelf.
It is very actively used, which is so very cool to see.
And they just really took it and embraced it.
And it's not just the leader, it was the whole team that did that.
And I like one more thing.
