And it just keeps spiraling.

And what felt like an escape.

the more the gambling spirals, the worse it gets, the worse those problems also get.

So essentially the escape is the trap.

Like not even what happens after after you've had a gambling outcome or even a session.

It's like what's happening before that as you've placed a bet and you're anticipating oftentimes it could be a win.
