what i can't get away i can't get away from it i was expecting recipes and you know and he's like no what i've realized in all this research is is health and longevity the number one determinant is connection so so your read your listeners who are in this thick of it trying to get through every day all of the indicators are saying we as humans have to do a better job
with connection in order to be healthier, live longer, and drive financial performance.
Okay, so the first shift, as I shared, is you've got to shift from the what to the who.
So I coach a CEO, and he said, you know, Michelle, I finally have gotten it.
I used to be, and he's a former lawyer, he's like, I used to be so driven by what, what, what, what.
And he said, and it just wasn't working.
It wasn't working for my people.
I wasn't getting the performance I wanted out of them.
And it wasn't working for me.
And then I shift to the who.
And then here's what I think will really help your stubborn guys is guess who the most important who is.
The most important who is you.
And so many of these stubborn listeners are like, wait a second.
Wait, what?
Because they don't prioritize themselves.
You can't be good connecting with your team.
You can't be a great dad.
You can't be a great husband coming home at the end of the day if all you are doing is reacting, reacting, reacting, reacting, reacting.
Oh my God, I've lost control of my calendar, but I'm crushing the numbers, but I haven't had time to exercise.
I haven't had time for a freaking bio break.
