I think the most important thing is that ADHD doesn't just live in the brain.
So I think a lot of the conversation is about ADHD in attention, executive function.
It's almost like you picture ADHD as something that happens from the neck up.
and you forget that it's a whole body-mind experience and your whole body is behaving in a slightly different way because your whole body has got the nervous system running through it and the nervous system is actually experiencing the world in a different way, in a more sensitive way than a neurotypical nervous system.
Because your brain is part of the nervous system.
So it doesn't just function on its own.
So then the brain is connected to your gut through the nervous system.
