And they said to me, what do you want to do?

I said, well, I want to be airborne ranger.

And they're like, okay, you can do anything.

We're computer sciences.

We got communication.

I said, I want to be an airborne ranger.

That's it.

My dad was an infantryman when he was in the service.

I had a really good friend from high school who was in the Rangers when they went to Grenada in 1983.

Just one of those things.

As a teenage kid, I thought it was cool.

It ended up being the best thing I've ever done.

So the adventure, the adrenaline.

Well, just like any other kid, I'm I'm living in a small town.

There's not a lot going on, you know, from a not a wealthy, not even a middle class man.

We're very poor family.

Right on.

I grew up my mom raising four kids by herself, you know, that kind of thing.

So I needed something to get out of there.

And, you know, it is if you've got no direction for me, that was the direction.
