And I went in, I thought I was going to be able to get some college money.

And that's a big part of it.

You know, a lot of young, young people today just don't have direction.

The same thing with me.

I didn't know where I wanted to go.

I thought I wanted to go to college.

You know, that's everybody.

That's what they teach you.

You know, you want to go to college, you want to do better.

And so that was the plan.

Well, supposed to do three years in, in the military, get out and go back to college.

Well, yeah.

I fell absolutely in love with it.

I thought this is exactly what I made to do.

This is what I'm supposed to do.

So joined the military, went up to Fort Lewis, Washington, which is about as far away as you can get from Louisiana in the United States.

Stayed up there.

I was with the Rangers there for a couple of years.

Ended up going to the Special Forces Assessment Selection Course.

If nobody knows, we started out with around 400 people in the class.
