I really like scary birds.
So one of my favourite birds in the world is the harpy eagle.
It's the biggest eagle in the world.
I mean, I think Birds of Prey is so elegant, like just the way that they're able to hunt and like, especially when they're diving and, or kestrels hovering, I love kestrels and it's, you know, like I'm reading, do you know Kestrel for a Knave?
It was turned into the film Cares.
Yeah, and I'm reading that at the moment.
No, it's all right.
It's been making me look all at kestrels again and go, actually, I think they might be one of my favourite in the UK.
And it's not one that I'd normally think to say.
But it's like, they're such incredible birds.
I think for me that's like why I ended up doing a lot of kind of environmental campaigning and conservation stuff in that I've always had this really big love of nature and the outdoors and birds obviously and I think that combined with being very aware of the state of nature and like you know all the
you know the many the many environmental issues kind of made me feel from quite a young age I had to say something or do something because it's like you know I feel like if you're getting that much enjoyment from something you should be trying to help it even if that is just like you know letting your hedges uh grow out a bit too much or having wild patches in your garden or you know like doing something yeah and I guess also kind of
That also means the way that we birdwatch should be also looking after birds.
Like, I think maybe historically it's been much more like, right, I'm going to march off into the middle of that, like, wetland to go and, like, flush out the bit I want to see.
And that's not how we do that anymore.
But it's just kind of, I guess...
all based on the idea that if you really love something and you enjoy it, you also want to do something to... Protect and preserve it.
Yeah, exactly.
