Um, and often leadership research talks about like CEO succession and who's the new big boss, but we know that the churn.
happens very often in lower frontline managers who are actually on the ground and who have direct influence on how we feel about our jobs.
So additionally what we found was that it's not just about replacing a leader, but who do we replace them with?
So there are certain types of behaviors here which are very helpful for keeping silence at bay or even reducing silence.
So these leaders provide a very, very particular type of support here.
And these behaviors look like they're only jumping in when it's necessary.
They are encouraging their employees' growth, for example.
So these behaviors are very secure, make makes employees feel very
Very secure about their new leader.
And often what happens that they'll compare their new leader to their previous leader.
And if the new leader is
even just a little bit better in terms of those behaviors than their previous leader, they will feel that contrast much more, very positive contrast, and they will remain much less silent.
Purposefully, I would say.
I think that um as an individual, we have to realize that we're not in the workplace alone.
And we do have to realize that there are others that we can lean on.
Think of that work bestie that you have.
And I I think if my my work bestie out there is is listening to the talk, she'll know what I'm talking about.
But some that we can share the experiences of the work with and you know, like we can share um why we can't speak up and
being able to reflect on that with your colleagues who you've trust.
Because you might not feel safe to speak up to your boss, but you will, you you are, you should be able to find someone who you can share that with and reflect that with.
