It's I I think it should definitely be embedded into culture surveys, engagement surveys at the minimum.
I think that's one recommendation.
But also I do think observations from team members um and creating I mean, this sounds a bit old school, but like whistleblowing hotlines is is still a thing.
And and people are afraid to share that or share things that they are witnessing and concerns that they have, then
organizations create should create those pathways for people to anonymously share their op opinions and concerns.
Yes.
So um apart from the leader, I would say look at like realigning, like looking at the goals, for example, of the team members.
And a lot of times when we think about how teams are structured, many times people like are put together randomly or like teams are not purposefully designed, or sometimes it's like a historical artifact, right?
Like they've been together for a while, but the team no longer suits the aims of that particular team.
So revisiting the roles and how
how each person and their knowledge and their skills into and abilities interlock with each other and how they are interdependent of one another because they need to work with each other to reach those goals.
So I think revisiting that as an organization and looking at that from like a bird's eye view will be really helpful.
In a recent paper I publ another paper I published, we looked at how le this concept of leader succession and our research actually showed that by replacing a leader in teams, silence levels tend to drop in the first couple of months.
We don't know the long-term effects of that yet.
And that's something we're gonna keep continue continuing to um investigate.
But we know that silence levels actually drop for a period of time.
Time when leaders are replaced.
And now I'm not, I'm not telling organizations out there to go and replace their leaders.
I don't think that's that's um that's the tip there.
It's actually the fact that leader turnover is actually very common in the workplace, especially in lower level, middle-level management.
