That's no surprise that you're more tired.
It doesn't mean you're an introvert.
It just means you were exercising more.
There are so many confounds.
With introversion and extroversion, it makes it hard to learn this.
I mean, one thing we find, too, in our work is that people tend to overestimate how introverted they are.
The number of people who tell me I'm an introvert is just through the roof.
You're not, probably.
Well, it depends how you measure it.
So if you measure it behaviorally, right, if you actually look at how tired people get, that you can do.
But the way people think about it is in terms of their beliefs about themselves.
That is what you're describing.
That's how scientists measure it.
Is there, you know, self-report scales, how people measure it.
And it describes the type of person you think you are.
not the type of person you actually are.
The other thing that I think is important to realize about this is that it doesn't actually explain a whole lot of your behavior.
So over the course of any given day, only about 15% of the variability in what you're doing at any given moment is predicted by how you score on this extroversion, introversion dimension.
Mostly, it's driven by what you're being asked to do, the context you're in.
So when you're talking on a podcast, you're acting extroverted.
