When the population started to go, well, enough of the population started to go, no, this is enough.
We've had enough.
Now,
You know, the thing that is interesting, and it gets a little bit controversial, but we remember the Black Lives Matter protests.
Well, a lot of those were either, they were either condoned and they were allowed to happen, or people turned a blind eye when they did happen.
In Victoria, do you mean?
Yeah, well, around Australia, there were several of them during COVID.
even more of them in the US.
So it's okay to protest if you're protesting against the preferred issue or the presumptive good.
But if you're protesting for your individual freedom, no, no, we're going to shut that down.
And that to me, you know, Mark, it was a change in my politics.

You know, we have got the philosophical balance wrong in this country.
And when I say philosophical, I am talking about John Stuart Mill.
The only reason that you can restrict the liberty of one person is to prevent harm to another.
Now, we decided or we were fearful or someone, you know, was fearful enough that so much harm was going to happen that we wanted to restrict the individual liberties of people for 265 days.
That was way too long down in Victoria.
And so we exceeded that fundamental principle of individual liberty.
And I guess, you know, some of the population, a significant amount of the population went along with that.
So we go all the way back to what you asked me.
