You know, everybody's saying the Liberal Party's dead, whatever.

There will be a Phoenix moment where someone comes along, or a group of people, ideally, who can articulate this, and then people will go, yes.

That's the way we want to live.

Yes, we're Australians.

We want to help our fellow Aussie.

But we know that to do that, we have to be successful as an individual first.

And we have to have successful individuals, families, country, and then government can come in.

I think COVID's what accelerated it and was that critical juncture that act as a sort of path accelerator for this, you know, malaise that we've got in the country with big government and dependence on government.

But this was going on in the 90s.

Just at the time when we were successful, as you said earlier in the pod, we were undergoing a very significant leftward shift in our institution.

And I think, you know, there's actually nowhere where you see it more than in medicine.

Oh, really?

Absolutely.

Like you look at some of the big cultural issues at the moment, the medical communities adopted a significantly progressive or leftward leaning position on them.

And we don't need to get into the controversy of this because it is a very controversial topic.

Let us just compare COVID with gender medicine in Australia.

What's that mean?

So gender medicine is transgender medicine and sex changes and puberty blockers and all that kind of thing, which we don't need to get into the clinical side of the moment.

But all I can say to you is that the rest of the world has shifted back to a more nuanced and precautionary position around these sort of treatments, whereas Australia has sort of stayed in the
