Make myself accountable.
Not to me, because there's a lot of days maybe where I don't want to go to the gym.
I go now because you're counting on me.
Right.
Because you're, you know, you're gonna hold me accountable to myself.
And so I'm sharing that because as someone me who's observed myself enough, those are difficult moments because the part that's activated in me is the appeaser, the pleaser who doesn't want to disappoint anyone, who struggles to tolerate disappointment in myself, less let alone disappointing someone else.
Even if you're someone on the periphery, like a trainer or someone I hired.
Right.
There's still that voice that is like, oh well, you know, you told them that you were gonna be there.
And you know, especially if now financially, you know, it's gonna, you know, impact them and their bottom line and or whatever, you have to pay for it.
Now you're paying for something you need to go to, right?
I should just go because them.
And so I'm thinking back to m more recently, actually within this past year, I had a a season of time where there's a a couple months of for just things happening in personal life and life in general.
I was feeling very overwhelmed.
And while I understand I'm not someone who loves the gym, though I understand that moving a certain amount of times a week is very helpful for me to release, to, you know, exercise the muscles, all the things.
And I do happen to have support in doing that.
I have a trainer that I see twice a month or twice a week to hold myself accountable.
And so for me, the the greatest shift, I think, in my own healing was during that period about six weeks, two months-ish, where I was feeling so overwhelmed that my body was feeling so depleted that moving was honestly the last thing that my body felt like it wanted to do.
And I also I was very clear I didn't want to go to the gym, but I had that voice, right?
Your trainer.
