I think it's become part of life now and I feel like we've always had ghosting but we've just never had the fun term ghosting to put through it and there is so many reasons why we do it and believe it or not, it's not always out of malice and I think we heard some of that in the recordings that you know sometimes people feel awkward and they're not sure how to navigate ending a scenario that might not even be a proper relationship.
you know, if you've been hooking up or it's just been really casual, do you even owe that person
the consideration of saying, Hey, it's been fun, but let's end things.
The other person might respond back, Well thanks for letting me know, but I think you maybe thought this was something it wasn't.
You know, it's it's such a complex world and when it comes to ending and breaking up things, I think we're just
I mean some people do and that's why we get people that drip feed and I think there's oh, there is another term for that, bread crumbing.
Yeah.
So So now we have breadcrumbing where, you know, it's like a little bit of warmth and then they go ghosting and then you might hear from them, you might hook up, you might even have sex, and then there's another period of not hearing them from a while again.
So they're kind of keeping you warm every so often and leading you on.
Which can seem unfair for the other person, but isn't that what casual dating is kind of like these days?
We're going back and forth, we're revisiting old things.
I think we just need to get used to the fact that things are not going to be like they used to and we need to protect ourselves from any of the emotional and physical hurt first.
I think we do, but I think we're seeing an age where communication with someone that we've been casual with is really not great.
We're so used to texting and Instagram messaging and Facebook messaging that we tend to wanna hide behind our screens rather than actually say to the person, Hey, this isn't working out for me Especially when it hasn't been an official relationship.
So I do think if you can it's always better to
Say something to that person, even if it is over an Instagram message or a Facebook message or a text to say, Hey, I've had a lot of fun, you know, it's been really lovely getting to know you, but I just don't think it's right to continue things.
It can be one of those really generic it's not you, it's me scenarios that once upon a time we found so frustrating and now we would probably love to hear it.
you're not gonna get a specific answer that maybe you're looking for as to why a particular scenario ended.
But sometimes it is nice to actually get an official ending.
If that person decides to come back in your life and you get a drunken text at two o'clock in the morning for a booty call, so be it.
