I had ADHD and I turned out just fine.

It's the thing that drove me.

It's what gave me energy to start my business or get through med school or whatever.

Like it's very much this sense of I did it and my kid can too and so we're not gonna have a diagnosis.

Uh no, I know.

You know, the other group of people are people who feel like, I know I had ADHD as a kid and it made life hard for me and I don't want that for my kid.

I know that they have it.

We've had an evaluation and we just want to give them tools, you know.

And so

Of parents who are coming to me who have ADHD, those tend to be the two camps that parents fall into.

And

You know, I know as someone who was married to someone for a long time who was very much shamed for impulsivity and inattention as a child.

I just don't want that for my own two children who both have ADHD.

I want them to understand their brain, understand how their brain works, and know what to do about it.
