I wanted what they had.
They were hungry.
They were motivated.
They got a chance to play on grass.
I was talking to one of them afterwards and he said, you know what it's like to play where there's not a manhole cover on the field.
And I thought, that's when it really got to me.
I thought, I really want to understand what makes people do what they do and don't do what they don't do.
And I got really focused on motivation and what made people tick.
