I think, you know, when I went through G P training now, that feels like a while ago now.

But when I did do it, or maybe I was lecturing 'cause I did do medical education for a while, I think I was actually doing lectures on it.

And the guidelines are like it's gold standard to actually do this viability scan, someone to put on ultrasound to check the baby's okay before they take the blood test.

What changed my practice, of course they say once you see something or experience it, it does skew you.

And I had a missed miscarriage with before our son that was detected on the viability scan.

And I just always think, imagine if I'd had that scan.

It's also the emotional psychological turmoil of having had a test waiting for these results

And so friends, if you were listening and you are being talked through the path of, you know, first trimester screening and you do go with NIPT, you now know best practice is a scan beforehand.
