Our blood pressure goes up, so more oxygen gets to our brain. matched
Our amygdala, which is our brain's emotional center, goes onto high alert, so we're now hypervigilant, so we can hear any pin drop sound, you know, if there's any threat coming from somewhere else. matched
Now, if you just think about those three things, those things are really helpful in the short term if you really are in danger. matched
