So open weight safeguards are really hard because especially refusal type safeguards, you can usually fine tune a model very quickly to undo it.

So you take the model and you give it examples of conversations and you can just be literally blocks of text where you say, how do I build a bioweapon?

And instead of it saying, no, I can't help you with that.
