We go out on the cage dive boat.
We align it with either Shark Week shows or when the cage dive boats take us out on their own dime.
And we basically got a little island that all the sharks in the Southwest Pacific
travel to and aggregate for summer.
And then we, you know, lure them along the side of the boat.
I use a specialized spear gun and I insert a dart at the base of the dorsal fin, which has a little steel trace up to like a mini blimp.
And that mini blimp is the tag.
And every time the shark comes to the surface, that tag breaks the surface of the water, signals to a satellite where it is, and that's when you can see it live on the Great White App.
You have intentionally added more workload to me, but I am so grateful for it because, like I said, these things aren't cheap, man.
I mean, how many donations?

So that's so wicked.
And each year, for the last two years, I've tagged 15 great whites, which, you know, little old New Zealand, we're fundraising like this.
Australia's spending $130 million a year
keeping track of their sharks, which are our sharks too.
And it is important that we track them because, you know, there's one side of it that we're interested in them not misbehaving with Australian surfers, which is obviously of interest.
Yeah, then there's the other side, which is that these are a protected and endangered animal.
And we're killing about 50 a year between Australia and New Zealand, either intentionally up there or accidentally in fisheries here.

And these sharks, you know, maintain our ecosystems.
