Well, goody for you.
That's a lovely memory.
But now it needs to be recreated.
So I think a good parent is the parent that examines their expectations and is able to recreate their expectations in a way that their child can successfully match.

That doesn't mean to remove your expectations.
I see this is LA.
Okay.
So I see a lot of kids who are overindulged completely.
They've removed all their expectations and the child walks in and starts taking their shoes and shirts off in the waiting room because they're just comfortable.
The parent doesn't say anything.
Okay.
So there are reasonable expectations that we really have to work hard on.
This is where the real work should be, not in trying to eliminate shame, stigma or making your child sit at the dinner table.
But really, what do we really need to give our children so that they become successful 25 year olds?
Because as I know, as they know in some of the research, it's recognized that a lot of atypical children are late bloomers.
They don't really come into their own.
It's those expected age levels.
But we know that with good parenting, good structure, good identification, diagnosis, remediation, accommodations, all the sweat and tears and love that you put into your child and optimism,
