You have that rule for yourself and that's what you're going to do.

So the idea is you come up with something that interrupts that automatic pattern and you do that thing.
For me, it's like I'm going to shut off my phone because that's a great dissociation engine.
And I'm going to name three things that are red and two things that are blue and one thing that's green.
I'm going to stay present.
Sometimes it's, all right, kids, let's all dance together so I can get some of my energy out.
You're also going to set yourself up for success, right?
If you are making a Thanksgiving dinner and you're already stressed out because like your family of origin has drama, you're going to prepare as much as possible in advance.
You're going to hire people.
whatever you can.
You're not going to bake muffins yourself.
You're going to buy them.
