They've taken us down the wrong pathway and people are going to die.
And four months later, I find myself indicted on federal health care fraud charges.
And even the chief judge of the state of Maryland, who was assigned to my case to adjudicate my case in a pretrial conference, called out the government.
Now, this is a federal judge, the chief judge of the state of Maryland.
And he said, this is a case of, quote, shoot first and ask questions later, because that's exactly what it was.
They had done really no investigation.
They hadn't interviewed many people or anybody, really.
They got my name wrong.
I know the charging documents like Ron is not a difficult name.
They gave me a middle initial.
I don't have a middle name.
I've never had a middle name.
You think if they're going to charge you with a federal crime, they'd at least know the name of the individual they're coming after.
Like, I mean, the list goes on and on and on about the incompetence and just the sheer ridiculousness of what they did.
So anyway, what were the fraud charges?
So they said that we were upcoding.
So essentially, we use a lexicon in medicine called ICD-10, and that's our coding lexicon.
It's international.
It's used all over the world.
