And the other one I see r now is feet and leg.
We've got a lot of cattle with bad feet on them.
And I think we've made some excuses from a genetic standpoint for that.
But if you've had many of these cattle that go to falling out of your herd once you s stuck all this money in 'em for three or four years.
defeat gets to be a bigger and bigger deal.
So that's one I think we've got to pay attention to or it's gonna plague the industry for the next fifteen or twenty years if we don't work those genetics out.
All right.
Well uh if it's very far down your list, I think you need to move it up.
That cow's job is to raise that calf.
And we have gotten some genetics now that if the calf gets up and follow 'em, that's fine.
If it doesn't, that's fine.
And that's unacceptable from a cow standpoint.
So we need that mothering ability in there.
In some environments it's much more critical than it is others, but you've got to have one that will handle em in all types of weather conditions, predator conditions, and the fact that they'll just take 'em with 'em.
I've seen so many cows that'll walk off and leave a calf and that cannot happen.
That's just a big expense and something that can certainly be avoided.
So
That's something to evaluate.
If you're having to pair cows up and mother cows up with their calf, that's in my opinion just totally unacceptable.
So that'd be one thing that I'd call a cow for almost immediately if she is that kind of cow.
