So probably had Scandinavian, Irish and Norman influences and ethnicity, mixed ethn ethnicity possibly.
But they were also educated.
They were doing their ABCs.
And the ABCs are a little bit of a mixed bag because you've got lowercase letters, but you've also got some capital letters and you've got some capital
Kind of interesting letter forms.
The the the F in particular is a distinctive skeletal form, and the G is a particular kind of figure of a form.
And the calligraphy really is Norman.
It's not Irish, it's not Gaelic.
So that's kind of pointing us a little bit away from the Hiberna Norse theories.
And of course, like in the Hiberna Norse artistic.
idiom, you don't really get depictions of mythological warriors at this late date, which is the late twelfth mid to late twelfth century.
So really then the question was, um, so if this is a a medieval object, a sort of Norman influenced object,
by an educated scholar or playful person but who was doing their A B C's.
In that suburb of Dublin.
um you know what was the object.
Was it a motif piece?
Was it just a a piece of graffiti?
Or was it something a little bit more than that?
So I started to look at writing tablets and to learn a little bit about that.
We need to do further analysis of the stone and also of the pigment on the front.
