So there's a lot more to be sort of learned about this.
There's lots of
of other scratches as well on the slate that, you know, potentially could uh indicate that it was used and reused as a gaming piece, as a a board game or something like that.
So um but what what it does probably my view is that it was probably some kind of a scholar's slate.
um and that the person who was using this may have had some connections to St Patrick's church.
Um and of course uh the cathedral was founded in eleven ninety two by uh John Cooman.
So there was some kind of there was this kind of parish as well in that period.
and that they were learning their ABCs in a secular environment, but with all of these different influences on their lives.
