What could he say?
What could he announce that he intends at some point in the future that would be so shocking, so appalling to everyone that you would begin to hear Republicans say,
okay, I didn't think he would do that, right?
That is obviously awful.
Everyone who's been criticizing this guy for years and worrying about how far he might go, they were right, I was wrong.
This is the brink that we have to pull back from.
What could he do to accomplish that change in attitude and posture?
I don't know if there's anything.
Honestly, I do not know.
For 30% of America, I don't know if there's anything that would accomplish that.
Yeah, well, whatever it meant initially, the meaning became indelible in a different sense, right?
I mean, it's now a term of disparagement for everyone who's not, you know, still grasping at the original intended meaning, right?
It's just a, you know, if you don't like woke, I mean, I think the larger footprint, the more generic meaning
Issue is identity politics, right?
I just think we have to get out of the politics of identity I mean, it's just the thing that was was was always predictable, but nonetheless surprising was that if you're going to insist upon the the permanent validity and even necessity of identity politics for black and brown people that was eventually going to produce a
a counter reaction, which would be an identity politics for white people, right?
Wasn't that what we're in now?
And so it finally did produce it.
And it's as odious as you might've expected.
