So that biases me to thinking that they probably will raise rates again.

The comments from Michelle Bullock I think did err on the side of hawkishness

You know, the slowdown in growth was as expected, but inflation was still rising as expected.

And don't forget their last set of forecasts in May assumed another rate hike.

And since then, we've been on hold.

So I think odds are, unless we get a really great inflation number,

uh in the day ahead uh the odds are that we will see another hike by really good i mean not the headline rate of inflation i mean trim mean inflation underlying inflation falling rather than rising so you know the march quarter was 3.5 percent the expectation is that'll rise to 3.7 3.8 if that's the case i think it delivers a hike if it if it

stays at 3.5 or actually goes to 3.4 on a quarterly basis, that would probably see the RBA hold.

Time will tell as to how that pans out.

But I think the RBA is facing a difficult battle here.

The bottom line is the longer inflation stays up, the less credibility it has.

And therefore, it's probably better to effectively rip the bandaid off and just get on with it and hike rates again.
