And I would also say to young women who are thinking about where they are in their careers and should I do it now, should I do it two years from now, the other important point to make here is that
Freezing embryos, which is what we do in IVF, where you've already got a known egg and a known sperm, and then we freeze them and come back for them later, that's more successful than egg freezing.
The procedure is the same.
You have to take all the same medications for IVF that you would for an egg retrieval.
you're retrieving eggs, that part of the procedure is the same.
The only thing is like, what are you doing after you've retrieved the eggs?
Are we fertilizing them now or are we freezing the eggs?
And fertilizing them now with a known partner is always the better option if you have a known partner.
Oh, well, they go together, and it's an age-related thing.
