I and I would agree with that.

All right, now to a question on teaching.

So it is a bit of a it is a bit of a link to what we've been talking about.

So I think it's a nice segue.

Now you describe teaching not as facilitating learning, and we've talked a bit about learning already, but as interrupting students, you know, challenging their ego-centric orientations by presenting them with otherness.

That's a very important

term that you and I who are interested in continental philosophy know a lot about.

Um, this seems almost confrontational.

Now can you explain what you mean by interruption and then how this differs from say

both traditional authoritarian or author authoritarian type teaching.

You did mention that before, but you know, uh and progressive student centered approaches, which are obviously put together as, you know, each side of the extreme on the teaching continuum.

You know, you could almost argue authoritarian direct instruction, what we like to call explicit teaching.

at one end and then progressive students added at the other end just to use as a descriptor.
