Well, so I spread, I thought of him, I thought of what happened, and just boom, it hit me, and the pain was just as fresh as it was two years ago.
Just a real splitting of hairs.
In my experience, thousands of traumas through your life don't cause ADHD.
They make it much worse.
Well, again, the two of them together are just dreadful.
But again, when you get nothing but that type of feedback and it hurts, I mean, it'll hurt anybody, but it really hurts you if you have rejection sensitivity.
Damage, it can't help but change the person and how they view themselves
And yeah, so this multiple death of a thousand cuts type of thing makes it much worse.
And people become vigilant for the possibility that somebody is going to hurt them.
And so they tend to over-interpret, over-respond.
Very benign statements.
Very constructive criticism.
as being devastating.
You know, your boss asks, you know, can I talk to you in private?
And you don't know the context or anything like that.
Everybody with ADHD says, I'm in deep trouble.
I have no idea why.
When I'm in deep trouble, he's telling me he's firing me.
He's, again, casting me out.
And so, you know, it's unpleasant to go through that.
