And, you know, before I left in 2024, we were commissioning gigawatt scale battery storage campuses.
Yeah.
And I think what you learn along the way, and it's happening in data centers now, right?
Like, you know, it's a new thing to do a gigawatt data center campus.
And
You can do it the same way, but when you do it the same way, you start to uncover all these bottlenecks that previously were kind of hidden.
You know, for a lot of years, data centers were one, two gigawatts a year, maybe, or even like hundreds of megawatts a year.
And now we're in the tens, you know, and maybe not too long from now, we'll be in the hundreds of gigawatts.
You know, renewables last year, 600 gigawatts were installed, just solar globally.
And so as you progress that supply base,
you may need to rethink it.
In fact, with batteries, we had to rethink it many times.
You know, when we went from that closet size first quasi power wall, we didn't even call it a power wall yet, to, you know, the mega pack now, the number of times we kind of re-architected not just the mechanical concept, but the electrical concept of how you go from a four volt lithium ion battery cell to, you know, a 300 kilovolt
grid, like we re re re rethought it many times.
for lots of reasons.
Some of it was cost and, you know, the energy space is incredibly cost competitive.
It's a little bit of a different market than data centers where, you know, the productivity and the return on capital and even today's data centers is immense with the demand for AI.
But in energy, you know, it's cutthroat competition.
So you're cost motivated to find simpler architectures and then if the supplier base can't scale, you need to delete the part, right?
And you mentioned Elon.
