Uh no, he's a good guy.

And he wrote this short substack that gives his way of thinking about deconstruction.

And for people people who don't know, deconstruction, that's not like, you know, demolishing a house.

That's like when you're starting to question some of the tenets of your faith and and looking at them more carefully.

Uh and there's a lot of debate about of course about deconstructing, right?

Is it good?

Okay.

There's a rebranding going on here.

Yeah.

And it's a new term for a very old phenomenon.

Um and since you got on your soapbox, I'm going to get on mine.

One pet peeve is when people use deconstruction as sort of an antonym for construction, like it's just tearing something down.

Because and there's okay, so the first time I stumbled on this term, this is like 25 years ago, I was in college.

I'm an English major, and we studied deconstruction.

Constructionism, which comes from the French the enigmatic French philosopher Jacques Derrida.

Mm-hmm.
