If it doesn't, it's solid, right?
And so that's how he likens deconstructing the deconstruction process he's gone through with the doctrines and ideas that he inherited from his childhood.
And so this is a quote from the article.
He says: deconstruction is the process of submitting them to the testing hammers to see if they break.
Break.
If they break, great.
You have avoided building your life on a shaky foundation.
If not, also great.
You can be confident that you have a solid foundation.
And I love that because and then he says somewhere else, he says, How have we become so afraid of breaking the truth?
Because if your ideas are bad or they're not biblical or they're not, you know, an essential part of the Christian faith, you shouldn't fear getting rid of them, right?
Take the stress.
Right.
Right.
And that's often like if you know people that have gone through a lengthy deconstruction process, it's a often precipitated by some sort of life event or a falling out with someone, church hurt, you know.
And that's not to invalidate what they're going through.
It may also include intellectual challenges as well.
But it's often not you're just sitting around just going, Hmm, this riddle isn't solved in my head.
