Like, yes, he d John Osoff insinuated something about maybe an affair or inappropriate behavior between the president and one of his staffers.

Donald Trump accused one of his rivals, father, of helping to assassinate a president with absolutely no evidence, while calling his

wife ugly.

Like it is just right.

It is so unthinkable in terms of conduct of someone who would become the president one day.

And so I struggle a little bit to compare those that that those apples and oranges.

It's it's a great question, Mark.

And you know, I've I I think I've kind of tried to interrogate it in my own head a little bit.

And I think where I net out, at least at this juncture

This far from the midterm.

I think the w what how the coverage continues will tell us a lot.

And then how the coverage leading into 2028 will tell us a lot.

The legacy media looks at this insurgent populist DSA associated, socialist associated, whatever you want to call it, this far left.

Um pivot from the Democrats as a threat to the institution of the legacy media, right?

I think it is not so dissimilar to a lot of these legacy media outlets.

To have this insurgent left wing flank that is

that is anti institutional, that is pushing back on so many of these elements that they recognize the American people don't like.

And are willing to play a different game than what traditional Democrats have been able to play.

I think this is a big part of why when Trump was first running for office, you know, there was this division that the media was happy to ex-try to exploit and try to try to understand, but they were willing to tolerate his insurgency in large part because it was such a threat to the Republican Party.
