But, you know, I mean, most of the time it's all pretty similar where if I throw spin early in the count, I'm probably getting free strikes.
But, you know, at the end of the day, I probably do need to mix in some four seams a little earlier and try to really, really get that count leverage and, you know, yeah, get the count leverage.
But, you know, sometimes, honestly, sometimes I have a better feel for my spin than I do my fastball.
And that can be, you know,
game-to-game thing.
But, you know, like I said, I really like where I'm trending.
And, you know, I mean, the biggest thing now for me is I really do want to get deeper into the game and find ways to do that.
So that's kind of what my focus and my attention is going to be on.
No, I mean, in my opinion, the more pitches, the more shapes, and the more things you have to show them, the better.
You know, I mean, it comes down, if I'm not throwing, you know, three of them for strikes ever, then it's like, okay, those aren't really usable.
But, you know, as long as I'm throwing them in the zone, I think that only helps.
And I think inevitably, you know, I'm going to go to my best weapons, you know, more often.
But, you know, I think when you only have two pitches โ
you really don't have a large margin of error.
You really have to be pretty good with those two.
Whereas when you've got a mix, maybe you don't have a good feel for one one day, or maybe a certain batter is really weak on horizontal spinning stuff as opposed to a curveball, which would be more depthy.
So there's a lot of factors that go into it, but I think having...
as many pitches as you can only helps, you know, and with the caveat of, yes, you have to be able to throw them for strikes, which, you know, I mean, that's pitching.
That's what we're all working on.
But, you know, to be honest, this is really sort of the first time in my career that I've really had such a, such a mix.
