Yeah, now I'm here in Wainwright.
Yeah, yeah, for sure.
I mean, first off, thank you.
It's definitely been a change, but it's been, I think, you know, it's been great.
And, yeah, I'm really excited going into next season.
I feel like we've got a bunch of new young pieces, and it always sucks to see you guys go, especially guys that are big parts of the team, like Falker and Schenner, and then Ruzzi got traded here in the summer.
But, I mean, we've got McMichael coming in.
We've got McTavish, too.
We're really building this young core, and it's pretty exciting to be a part of.
And, yeah, I mean, I think that we –
yeah i mean uh you know i definitely had to earn that spot i think going in i wasn't top six but uh over the past like two years i think i've solidified myself as a top six guy which i'm gonna continue to try and do and uh yeah the opportunity that i got in st louis right away is definitely something that you know i i didn't get in edmonton and i think like obviously understandably so i mean you got
Leon and Connor, two of the best players in the world, and so many good players in Edmonton.
But just really try to grow with that opportunity and, you know, kind of make the most of it.
And, yeah, my goal now is to play top six, have the hard matchups, and, you know, just get wins for St.
Louis and make it to the playoffs and go far.
uh first year and a half or so at wisconsin before you got hurt there but just a thought on how far you think you've come yeah i mean i think i've come a long way uh you know i've i know i always worked as hard as i possibly could and just kind of been a little unlucky with these injuries like they've just been you know in my opinion fluke injuries that i don't know how they're happening but they just happen so
You've got to find a way to bounce back through that, and it's hard mentally, and I think that's one place I've grown a ton is just mentally through the game.
You can always work on your physical skill and skating, getting stronger, that kind of thing, but really developing mentally and developing the vision for the game.
It's just a different...
different game and some of the best players in the game aren't necessarily the fastest guys but they're the smartest guys so that's one thing that i'm trying to keep on learning is just how to be a smarter hockey player and i think you know as the seasons have gone on i've been able to you know kind of find that a little bit you know dylan it's the same in the broadcast business some of the best broadcasters uh use their brains it only took me about 35 years to figure that out i'm a hard learner you know it's better late than never exactly
