Actually, another thing I read, it's like, you know, if you gift $15,000, going back, if you gifted $15,000 to a newborn, by the time that they're 50, they'd have $5.5 million.

If it was just invested, I think it was an 8% return compounded for 50 years.

Well, I mean, you can.

You just got to get your grandparents to, well, no, we can't anymore, but anyway.

Don't be afraid to have the conversation, right?

So like I said, it is hard.

It's a challenging thing to bring up at Sunday dinner.

Sometimes it's a case of managing up and we try and get our clients in that accumulation phase to take the mantle of, all right, well, I'm the adult in this situation now and I can have that conversation upwards because it takes a lot of pressure.

off our parents for something that might not be an easy thing for them to do.

And if you are in that demographic and you haven't had that conversation, that older demographic, you definitely should.

So being open and honest about what's there, what your wishes are, how you want to pass it on and what's important to you.

And if you're not confident in having that conversation, sometimes having your advisor in the room is a really good way of doing it.

So we do a lot of family meetings, clients come in, whether it's

bringing your parents in or bringing your kids in, and we say, great, guys, this is where things are at.

Let's make sure that we're open and honest about finance amongst the family so that when we do bring up that conversation about, well, you know, mum's going into aged care.

What do we do with the house?

There's already sort of a backing of, all right, we've had that conversation.

We know that decision.

We know where it's going eventually.
