Nick Bostrom is definitely like part of the whole effective altruism community.
But Nick Bostrom, he he wrote uh um he's probably best known for a book uh that he wrote called Superintelligence that came out, I don't know, a little over ten years ago, um, that made a big splash, basically, you know, expounding on all of these.
these ideas uh and saying, yeah, you know, superintelligence is really scary and we should uh we should we should figure out, you know, how to control it or stop it before it kills us all.
Um and again, this is before, you know, transformer models and and the current AI moment.
