Ask them, what do you want to achieve out of this job?

What are the kind of skills that you want to get out of this?

So when I was recruiting for the pre-opening team, I would find out how ambitious they are.

If they were really ambitious, I would say, well, look, this is the perfect place for you because with all the responsibilities I'm going to give you,

You're going to get the skills to manage your own team in the future or even start your own business because you have to manage so many stakeholders in this process.

So many things are going to go wrong.

You're going to have to find out solutions just like that.

Um, and it's going to put you outside of your comfort zone, but you're definitely going to grow in one year's time.

You're going to look back and you're going to think, holy shit, look at all of this that I've managed to do all of this that I've managed to achieve.

So look, expect if there's one thing to take away from this is expectation setting and do not sugarcoat what it's actually like.
