I have found a report that says Gen Z and younger millennials are increasingly swapping nights out for uh nights out for gym memberships.
So they would rather spend 300 euro on a gym membership than they would in the bar.
And honestly, this is something I am welcoming.
So in this report, 70% of Gen Z say that they're more focused on wellness than they were a year ago.
And forty-five percent of them say physical health is a
Major priority for them.
30% are spending more on the gym on gym memberships and classes.
And Bank of America collaborated with this report and said they're seeing a lot less people spending money on alcohol and a really big rise in wellness activities.
And I think the reason that Gen Z are kind of boosting this is because during COVID, Gen Z were the ones that were taking college remotely, their first job was remote as
well and they're seeking that connection from people.
So they want to start the run clubs.
They want to go to the bougie gyms.
And it is really, really positive to see that.
One of the ladies who was interviewed during the report said that she actually has found her fiance through a run club.
And you know, these initiatives are now becoming they're replacing what the pub has been.
And I think for some generations they they kind of don't want to see that pub culture go.
But it is a really positive initiative that we're seeing.
