And to be honest with you, I just never felt that they really tried or really wanted it to work.
So when I w was back there visiting on different occasions, you know, it was one day really s stood out to me.

at a f a family day over there and I was walking through the gardens with this individual and I just saw
It was a really, really nice gentleman, it was a counselor back there and I just saw him looking at me.
And I knew by the way he looked at me, I knew.
just run for the hills.
I just felt it from him.
But I persisted and I supported and I did what I could because I didn't want my kids to come from a broken home.
But the thing was, the home we were living in was broken, you know?
Um so I tried everything and and I remember I'll never forget that song.
This is my fight song that played in the car when I collected him with the children bringing him home and I thought, Oh my god, this is amazing, this is a sign, everything's going to work out, it's going to be amazing.
But the thing was, rehab didn't save
Him because he didn't want to be saved.
It saved the children and I.
You're driving him to it, it's all your fault and and the other person gets a lot of of of the of that, you know.
And it's not because you know, I remember that counselor saying to me one time, you know, Eleanor, everybody has something in life called a choice.
He's made his.
Now you make yours.
Because even after everything, I still felt sorry for I still felt guilty for everything, do you know?
