In 2015, teenager Joy Morgan discovered strangely compelling YouTube sermons from the religious group Israel United in Christ, or IUIC.
Her initial curiosity developed into devotion.
She distanced herself from friends and family, embraced new identity, immersed herself in the IUIC, and believed she'd found the truth.
IUIC is the best family that I've ever had.
In fact, she had found what many called a cult.
And on Boxing Day 2018, Joy disappeared forever.

So this happened, you guys shot the movie in 94 and he actually was murdered in 85 and then the trial was a couple of years later.
So the case had been essentially closed and she was in prison.
So she served 18 years.
So they discovered after the fact, Dennis had a previous wife who died.
And at first they said she died, you know, of some illness or something sudden.
And then they reopened that case and they came to find that she had died under quote suspicious circumstances.
And so that, I mean, they obviously,
assume that he murdered her but they could not find any direct evidence to prove that and then in 2009 Donna was released on parole after serving sorry 21 years including time in community corrections facilities so she's wound up serving 21 years but was released at the age of 50 I believe wow
