Yeah, great.
So, it looked at this sort of take-make-waste economy that design's been part of.
It looked at single-use plastic.
It looked at planned obsolescence.
So, that's designing stuff to fail, so you have to buy a new one.
And we really openly and honestly used a historical perspective to explore these different approaches that at the time seemed really appropriate.
But looking back, you're like, oh my goodness, how did society think this was normal or okay?
But this particular show, it wasn't only doom and gloom.
It set that historical context, but then it also showed work by incredible pioneers.
So we had
incredible fashion by Stella McCartney, who I'm sure a lot of people are aware of her commitment to more sustainable practices.
We had architects, we had designers, loads of different practitioners who are doing a lot of exploration and research into how design can help build a greener future.
We have this program at the Design Museum called the Future Observatory,
And it's funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council.
And it's this amazing program where we fund design research.
So one organization that we're funding is exploring how we might exclude single-use plastics from the NHS.
I mean, can you imagine doing stuff at scale like that?
So it's on the one hand, talking to audiences, talking to people.
And on another hand, what museums have always been really good at is research and moving the needle in terms of what we think is possible.
And that's something we do at the Design Museum a lot.
