You know, we're not in the Middle Ages.
It's safe because of X, Y, Z. And different through our interpretation, through our labels, we're really able to speak to different people in different ways.
One of my favorite moments of my whole career was walking past a carer and her child going to my desk.
And I overheard this lady explain to a kid who must have been about eight what embodied carbon was.
And she was reading the label to this tiny child.
And I just thought, oh, my goodness, if I'd known what embodied carbon was at eight, how different would this global picture look like in 2026?
And that's the power of museums.
It's providing these platforms for people to learn, to take what they want away from it.
You don't have to read everything, but maybe there are just some thoughts.
Maybe you have a conversation with the child and then that can be like water dripping on a stone, you know, that eventually wears it down and changes the shape of what we think it could be.
So alongside my work at the Design Museum, I'm also a yoga teacher.
And something that I bring into a lot in my yoga teaching is this idea of keep gently knowing change.
Change is the only constant in life.
We're all getting older every single second, every single day.
Change is happening around us every season, every week, every moment.
And the only way I think to maintain some kind of sanity in this world is to accept that and to keep gently knowing that change.
And how can we nudge change for a more beautiful future?
How can we move change?
How can we be part of the conversation?
Change is going to happen anyway.
