So, the point was you were supposed to work hard and get up and work hard the next day.

I mean, food was never to particularly be enjoyed.

That was not even an issue.

I couldn't believe it when I left home and I found out people actually enjoyed food.

It's just totally functional.

Just eat it so you can get up tomorrow and work hard.

So, you know, no pleasure in food and very, very simple celebrations, you know, at Christmas and birthdays.

And no television, no movies, except for a couple that I saw with somebody else, you know, as a young person.

So...

No, no, no popular music in the house at all.

Only classical music.

Yeah, censorious is the right word.

I think because I did come from that background.

I think that, and I'm not putting my parents down for this at all, but there was a lot of judgment.

When you are that puritanical, you do without even, you don't even have to say it, but I picked up that they were very judgmental about this, that, and the other thing.

And I think, this is an interesting question because I've never tried to describe this before, but I think there was something about living under that

umbrella of judgment that made me not want to be judgmental.

And it's not that I'm not judgmental in my own life.

I am.

I think we all are.
