Like we couldn't control the fact of what was going on around us, but we could control how we felt.

And there's this thing that if you look good, you feel good.

And I think that's another thing that's different from women in sport to men in sport that isn't kind of respected enough.

We can be seen, I've been told as an athlete, like I'm not...

taking things seriously because I got my tan done or because I got my nails done.

And girls perform better when they feel good about themselves.

So if that means going to the nail salon and getting your nails done for half an hour and you just feel good in yourself.

And we should not apologise.

I was very ready to retire and a big thing for me was I didn't want to, I don't know why, but I didn't want to see the numbers 3-0 on a start sheet somewhere.

So I retired when I was 29 and I had, I committed my whole life to it and I had such a routine, such a schedule.

I knew where I was going to be every single day for four years and also with anti-doping as well.

I had to fill in a 60-minute slot.

Somebody knew where I was for 60 minutes of my life for 20 years.

No more paper cups.

So for me, it was a moment where I was really ready for it.

But no matter how ready for retirement you are, it's so hard.
