Well, let me throw you some facts at you really fast.

Since the lockout laws, there's been an estimated loss of 1,300 small arts and cultural venues.

So in the however many years since they were brought in.

They've been revoked, but then it was COVID after that.

And honestly, like I'm from Melbourne and coming to Sydney, I was shocked walking around the city in, you know, the late evening on a weekend.

It's dead.

It is.

There's nothing going on.

Yeah.

So I think the idea was that this place had a lot of promise to maybe fill that gap that's been left from the lockout laws and from COVID and try to revive the nightlife scene.

So I mean, there's more protests planned.

Kat has said that she's not backing down.

She told me, quote, I'm not walking away from a bully.

I'm guessing that means we're likely to see legal proceedings over this because that's pretty much the only way that she can challenge it.

She has put out a call for a new site if 420 Kent Street

doesn't work out ideally a similar sort of church space but she has actually asked supporters to not engage with what's going on online or in person because uh because what

happened when it first opened was apparently there was quite a few confrontations in the street.

So she's warned people to not go down to the venue just for personal safety thing.

I actually reached out to the city of Sydney yesterday.

And I spoke to the deputy mayor, her name's Jess Miller.
