And the history of Mississippi tells us that black people in the black community cannot trust the justice system.

So you cannot in any way, shape or form disavow a black person who doesn't have confidence in the justice system and anyone who knows anything about Mississippi.

So I'll tell you a really quick thing.

I went to a place called Glendora, Mississippi.

I was doing a road trip and I wanted to stop by Money, Mississippi and Glendora, Mississippi, and people aware of history.

Money, Mississippi is where the grocery store that Emmett Till encountered Carol Bryant.

And that's where that incident happened that led to his ultimate death, which was in Glendora, Mississippi.

So I was there and I wanted to find the landing, the shore where they found Emmett Till's body.

And I was going around.

I had no idea where it was.

There's no signs to find anything like that.

So I would I saw like random people, usually black people.

And I said, hey, can you help me find this?

And they wouldn't talk about it.

One person said, we're not comfortable talking about this.

I said, how come?

And this person looked me right in my eyes and said, because the grandchildren of the people who did that are still here.

That was 70 years after the lynching of Emmett Till.

So don't tell me that history doesn't matter.

Now, to your point, Don, which I think you just excellently made, that doesn't mean that these boys are specifically guilty because the history of that area has a very difficult racial context.
