Now, what some people wondered when I was talking to them about this was, does it not get deducted right off their paycheck?
And the answer is no, it does not.

Now, I believe for more in most cases, the percentage is 3% in the NHL.
There are exceptions, but 3% is the salary.
Oftentimes, if agents set up marketing deals or uh speaking deals or things like that for players, it can be between 10 and 20%.
But three percent is for the negotiated salary generally.
And basically the way it works, I I had one agent who told me that he has a player who pays him, he bills them every month, once a month.
And if there's anything due at the end of the season, and the way that would change is to make a long story short, escrow can change during the season.
So it's
Not going to be happening now.
It's not a factor now, but it has been in years past.
So if they got to the end of the year and there was still some money due, the player would just make one last payment with the remaining amount.
There is another agent who told me that him and his player they do it twice a year.
He bills them half in the first cal the beginning part of the calendar and
NHL season and after it flips, he bills them the other half.
Um, Kyle, you had someone who told you that if they have a signing bonus, the player pays in full after a summer signing bonus.
Things like that.
Three percent of the signing bonus.
